Quarter Window Priming and Curing Cell
This system was developed to prime one piece of glass within 30 to 60 seconds depending on the model and quantity of primer needed. The robot utilizes quick-disconnect tool-changers to apply two different types of primer. This system uses two cameras to verify primer path application.
The cell was designed to run eight different models of quarter windows to reduce changeovers. Once primed, the glass is placed on an indexing heater conveyor for curing prior to encapsulation.
