Gear Shift Assembly Encapsulation Cell

This work cell was initially designed to run 4 parts, and since then 4 more parts have been added in accordance with design changes that occurred in subsequent model years on this product line.

  • Part #1 – Lock Pin – Four (4) cavity tool 30 second cycle. Operator to load trays with metal lock pin inserts, robot will pick up four (4) pins and load them in the stationary half of tool. Robot will then remove finished parts and place them on exit conveyor or place in reject area. Trays hold 16 parts.
  • Part #2 – Stopper; eight (8) cavity tool 25 second cycle. Pick and place only. Robot will remove parts from tool and place on exit conveyor or in reject area to be determined
  • Part #3 – Shift Lock Release; Four (4) Cavity tool 25 second cycle. Pick and place only. Robot will remove parts from tool and place on exit conveyor or in reject area to be determined
  • Part #4 – Detent Cushion; Four (4) cavity tool 25 second cycle. Pick and place only. Robot will remove parts from tool and place on exit conveyor or in reject area to be determined.
