Machine Electrician

We are an established and steadily growing automation and specialty machine company looking to fill a Controls Assembler position. We are looking for a talented individual to help us continue to grow. Role and Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• Build custom control panels
• Interpret electric and fluid power schematics
• Collaborate with machine builders, controls engineers, and mechanical engineers to create the best solution to unique customer challenges.
• Assemble equipment according to approved design and customer specifications
• Ensure that changes and problems are documented and relayed and serves as a team member
• Communicate with Project Manager regarding open issues and progress during build process
• Assist with successful execution of assigned programs as they relate to cost, quality, timing, and customer satisfaction
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work area
• Focus on quality of output
• Effectively and safely troubleshoot wiring and circuits, wire according to NEC, and read/understand schematics
• Has own comprehensive tools for efficiency.
• Eagerness to take on challenges & work through adversity is a must.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent certificate
• Five (5) years' electrical experience preferably with equipment building
• Proficiency in wiring complex mechanical components
• Team player, able to take direction and be self-directed
• High regard for safety standards with organizational skills
• Varied electrical experience.
• Mechanical aptitude. Hands on experience.
• Travel for install and runoffs with customer (minimal)

Controls Engineer

We are an established and steadily growing automation and specialty machine company looking to fill a Controls Designer/Programmer position. This is not an entry level position.
We offer a competitive wage and benefit package with many benefits. We have a steady flow of work, in a low pressure, challenging shop environment where we wear many different hats. This is a first shift position.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
• Ability to utilize Eviewer or something similar – to build your design from.
• AutoCAD – for Electrical and Pneumatic Schematics.
• Work with the mechanical designers to help create solutions.
• Design Electrical and Pneumatic schematics.
• Reading and understanding manuals.
• Troubleshooting electrical and pneumatic systems.
• Traveling out of state for machine startups and service.
• Working as a team as well as an individual.
• 2-5 years of experience required
• Estimated percentage of time spent:
• 40% Design
• 60% Programming

Travel:
• Continental U.S. - 6-8 x’s per year typically (3-4-day trips)
• International (Mexico) 1-2 X’s per year
• Typically, home on the weekends

Requirements:
• Valid driver’s license
• Mechanical aptitude
• Willingness to learn organizational skills
• PC and typing skills
• Reading comprehension
• Time management skills
• Self-motivated
• Maintain a professional attitude and appearance.
• Thorough understanding of PLC’s (primarily AB), servos, robots (ABB, Motoman, Fanuc), vision systems (Cognex and Keyence).
