JOB LOCATION: ZEELAND, MICHIGAN
The level Mechanical Engineer-2 is responsible for various tasks within the design process including, but not limited to; creating job books, plotting drawings, generating cut lists and BOM’s, updating drawings, making revisions and designing complete projects of various complexity. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to performing continuous improvements with machine builders and participating in and preparing for machine run-offs.
Education:
- 2- or 4-year degree
- Post-Secondary Certificate – awarded for training completed after high school
- High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
Experience:
- At least 3 years in a job shop / machine shop / machine builder required.
- At least 2 years of complete machine design experience bringing projects from RFQ to run-off.
- Experience with and proficiency in SolidWorks required.
Skills and job requirements:
- Valid driver’s license.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read calipers / micrometers.
- Willingness to learn.
